This course is designed to help adults who have little or no experience in sewing. The main purpose is to help you develop skills needed to construct garments and items of simplified design. Emphasis will be placed on techniques to be learned and not on what is being made.

Objectives
After completing this course you will:
1. Have confidence using a sewing machine
2. Learn correct sewing terminology
3. Know how to read and use a pattern
4. Know the use and care of different fabrics
5. Have a binder full of samples that you made to use as a
reference for the future
6. Produce garments that are highly wearable
7. Enjoy sewing (hopefully!)
Course Details
This course will take place over a 6-week period starting Wednesday April 24, 2013. The class will begin at 10:00 am and end at 12:00 am. Classes will conveniently be held at my house on the MCBH. Only seven spots are available.

Childcare is recommended, but if you are not able to find childcare you are welcome to bring your kids and allow them to play while we have our class.
