Course Description

This course is designed to help adults who have little or no experience in sewing. The main purpose is to help you develop skills needed to construct garments and items of simplified design. Emphasis will be placed on techniques to be learned and not on what is being made.

After completing this course you will:

1. Have confidence using a sewing machine
2. Learn correct sewing terminology
3. Know how to read and use a pattern
4. Know the use and care of different fabrics
5. Have a binder full of samples that you made to use as a
     reference for the future
6. Produce garments that are highly wearable
7. Enjoy sewing (hopefully!)
